Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: Sept. 16-19

OREGON — On Sept. 16 at 9:58 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of North Walnut Street in Forreston for a report of a domestic. As a result of the investigation, a juvenile male was arrested for domestic battery, and taken into limited custody. The juvenile was subsequently released to a parent.
On Sept. 16 at approximately 8:07 a.m. deputies responded to the 4,600 block of North Silver Creek Road in reference to an overturned semi-truck/dump trailer. An investigation revealed a Mack semi-truck loaded with ag lime, being driven by Roger Watts, 78, of Oregon, failed to reduce speed while navigating a curve in the roadway. The truck/trailer was unable to maintain control and overturned. Watts was transported to OSF Hospital in Rockford by REACT Helicopter for treatment of potentially serious injuries. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Mt. Morris Fire/EMS and Mt. Morris Police. Watts was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
On Sept. 16 at approximately 3:21 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop within the 2,000 block of West Illinois Route 64. After a brief investigation, deputies arrested Wayne A. Johnson, 52, of Mt. Morris, for driving while license revoked. Additionally, Johnson was cited for improper use of registration/title, expired registration, illegal transportation of alcohol and obstructed front windshield. Johnson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he was held in lieu of bond.
On Sept. 17 at approximately 8:02 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of North Mulford Road. After investigation, Markeeta Y. Forrest, 39, of Rockford, was placed under arrest for obstructing identification and driving while license suspended. Forrest was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no rear registration lights and no signal lights. Forrest was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held, in lieu of bond.
On Sept. 19 at approximately 9:57 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5,000 block of South Illinois Route 26. After a brief investigation, Joshua Bland, 24, of Danville, was placed under arrest for driving while license revoked. Bland was additionally charged with unlawful possession of cannabis (30-100 grams) and cited for no taillights. Bland was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
