Ogle County Sheriff's Report: Sept. 7-11

On Sept. 7 at approximately 12:19 a.m., Ogle County deputies responded to the intersection of Freeport Road and Sterling Road in reference to a two-vehicle accident. A vehicle being driven by Larry Allen, 63, of Dixon, was traveling southbound on Freeport Road at which time it traveled off the west edge of the roadway. The vehicle continued traveling southbound through the ditch before entering onto Sterling Road. The vehicle driven by Allen then struck a northbound vehicle being driven by Harley Wilkinson, 20, of Freeport. Wilkinson was transported to CGH Hospital and later flown to a Rockford hospital for treatment. Allen was transported to KSB hospital for treatment. Allen was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while license revoked. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Polo Police and Polo Fire/EMS. The accident remains under investigation.

On Sept. 8, the following people were arrested on Ogle County outstanding warrants.

Mason J. Wolter, 20, of Chana for failure to appear warrant. Wolter had a bond of $375. Wolter posted the $375 and was released from the Ogle County Jail.

Devin M. Montelongo, 24, of Rochelle for failure to appear. Montelongo had a bond of $432 and the judge reduced his bond to $75. Montelongo was able to post the $75 and was released from the Ogle County Jail.

On Sept. 11, Walter C. Brady, 21, of Dixon, was arrested on two outstanding Ogle County warrants for failure to appear and criminal damage to property. Brady was issued two bonds, $1,608.03 full cash and $5,000/10 percent. Brady was unable to post bond and was scheduled to appear in court Sept. 11.
