STEWARD — The family of Darrell Jones will be celebrating his 90th birthday with coffee, cake, conversation and music.
The open house will be held Friday, Sept. 15 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Steward Methodist Church fellowship hall.
Born to William and Helen Jones Sept. 13, 1927 on Becker Farm in the Ashton area, Jones enjoyed a childhood of farm life with his siblings Donald, Darlene, Pauline and Anita. He graduated from Steward High School attended the University of Illinois and worked at Sunstrand, Ingersoll, Delmonte and for other area companies.
