Posted

OREGON – The Oregon Park District has teamed up with White Pines Ranch in Oregon to offer a horseback riding and horse care class to the public.
This class is suitable for anyone nine years of age and up. Participants will learn the basic skills needed to care for a horse, as well as enjoy leisure trail rides. They will get hands-on experience grooming, saddling, basic ground work, and riding.
Classes

Classes run on Saturdays from July 13 through Aug. 3 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Each lesson includes 45 minutes of horse care and a 45-minute trail ride. Lessons will be differentiated, but are not compounded, so participants can enjoy one lesson or all four.
The full program cost is $200/resident and $240/non-residents. This includes all four sessions or pay per session for $60/residents and $72/non-resident. All riding will be trail-rides with no experience necessary. Classes will be held at White Pines Dude Ranch in Oregon.
Registration deadline is July 6.
Visit Nash Recreation Center or call 815-732-3101 to register.
