ROCHELLE — It’s going to be smooth sailing on the entire bike path system once the approved projects are completed.
Earlier this week Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District commissioners approved two bids for upgrades on the section of bike path from Rochelle to Hillcrest at a cost of nearly $540,000.
“When we get done with the project by end of summer or early fall, we will have every bit of the bike path new,” said park district executive director Roger Bunger. “Any big cracks will be cut out, and other areas we have some bank stabilization to do along the creek by the edge.”
