Park district offering outdoor and virtual programs

ROCHELLE — As the state progresses through Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois plan initiated by Gov. J.B. Pritzker, the Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District will be offering both virtual and outdoor programming over the next two months. The park district programs will begin the week of Monday, June 15 and sign-ups for the programs are encouraged by Friday, June 12. 

All programs will maintain guidelines to promote health and safety. No bathrooms, running water or garbage cans will be available, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own water bottles and take home their own garbage. All programs will be limited to no more than 10 patrons or less and equipment will be limited to one person for the duration of each program.

The park district will hold six outdoor programs including Circuit, Circuit, Summer Boot Camp, Zumba, Youth Soccer Mini Camp, Youth Basketball Mini Camp and Youth Speed & Agility Camp. Additionally, four virtual programs will take place including Karate, Balloon Animal Class, Magic Class and Camp in a Box, which includes three at-home activities per week for kids under age 8.
