CHANDLER, Arizona — Patrick Charles Hall, 58, passed away on July 10, 2019 in Chandler, Arizona.
Patrick was born on June 14, 1961 to Kenneth and Patricia (Connolly) Hall in Rochelle.
He graduated in 1979 from Rochelle Township High School, attended Kishwaukee College, and then completed his surveyor program in Arizona.
Early in his career, Patrick worked as an engineer at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant in Glen Rose, Texas. He married and his family grew to include son, Carter Samuel Hall and daughter, Whitney Erin Hall. In the early 90s, Patrick relocated his family to Arizona to pursue an opportunity as an engineer for the City of Chandler.
Patrick is known by many for his passion for Notre Dame Football and always sported Notre Dame attire. He spent endless hours sharing his Notre Dame knowledge with his children. Carter and Whitney naturally caught the Irish Fever and attended a camp at the University of Notre Dame when they were young.
Patrick’s children were the lights of his life. He was proud of son Carter, who was in the U.S. Navy from 2000-2009 and deployed on a submarine in response to the 9/11 attack, and daughter, Whitney, who earned her master’s degree in Business Management from Tarleton State University. Both of Patrick’s children later married, started their own families, and continued the tradition of the Notre Dame Irish Fever with their children.
Patrick loved to travel, new adventures and telling tall tales. Later in life, he came to drive a taxi, and showed off his knowledge of Phoenix sites to his passengers. He was a man of faith and member of San Juan Diego Catholic Church in Chandler, Arizona.
Patrick married his current wife, Dysibel Mantimo, from Libungan, North Cotabato, Philippines on Sept. 12, 2017 in Las Vegas.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Dysibel; mother, Patricia (Connolly) Hall of Rochelle; son, Carter (Lacey Jackson) Hall of Cummings, Georgia; daughter, Whitney (Brett) Demetruk of Stephenville, Texas; step-son, Markdaven Mantimo of the Philippines; brother, Christopher (Joan) Hall of Claire; and sisters, Sara Hall of Rochelle and Carrie Hall of Woodstock.
Patrick had four grandchildren including granddaughter, Hayden Hall and grandson, Gunnar Hall of Cummings, Georgia, and grandson, Cillian Demetruk and granddaughter, Willow Demetruk of Stephenville, Texas. He is also survived by his nieces, Cassandra (Ryan) Grover and Quinn Hall; nephews, Jacob (Brittany) Delano, Tim Hall, Ryan Wiese, Nick Wiese, Zach Wiese and Nolan Wiese; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Hall; brother, Timothy Hall; maternal grandparents, Francis and Gertrude Connolly; and paternal grandparents, Charles and Sue Hall.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 2 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 236 Kelley Dr., Rochelle, with a Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. with Father Ruben Herrera officiating.
Private burial at St. Patrick Cemetery will immediately follow the Mass for only the family, everyone else is invited to go to the parish center for further fellowship and a luncheon once the family returns.
