OREGON — It’s almost time for the Pegasus Special Riders’ Annual Picnic.
The therapeutic riding facility is hosting their 20th Annual Picnic and Family Day on Saturday, July 14 at 5 p.m. at 6668 S. Carthage Rd., in Oregon.
Director Darah Bridgeman invites the area community for good food and fun activities for the whole family.
“Please join us for an evening of family fun and the chance to see a demonstration by their special riders showing you all they have been able to accomplish,” Bridgeman said.
The event includes face painting and a magic show along with a silent auction. There will also be a propane grill raffle; tickets are available for $5 each or three for $10.
Ralphie and Lulu’s of Ashton will provide dinner, including homemade ice cream.
Tickets are $15 each or $50 for a family of four. Children ages five and under eat free of charge. Purchase tickets in advance by calling 815-973-3177. For additional information, please visit the Pegasus website at pegasusspecialriders.org or find them on Facebook.
“We would love to see anyone and everyone at our event,” Bridgeman said. “This is not an event only for those who are associated with Pegasus. It is also for the community and for anyone who is interested in learning more about our organization.”
