ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Planning and Zoning Commission voted to recommend city council approve amending an annexation agreement regarding property along Steward Road.
The original annexation agreement in 2010 with Hub City Development, LLC involves a 48-acre parcel of land east of IL Route 251 and west of South Main Street and included city improvements and easements.
Hub City Development, LLC petitioned the city to amend the current annexation agreement to include three lots, which would provide for future expansion of commercial development.
The developer provided a preliminary and final plat of subdivision for the lots; lot one is 13 acres zoned B-2 Commercial Highway, lot 2 is 12 acres zoned B-2 and lot 3 will be an out lot that is undeveloped.
City council is expected to vote on the annexation agreement in December.
