ROCHELLE — John and Esther Prabhakar’s boys never played football, so they’d never had their house TP’d before.
That changed Thursday. In honor of John’s 80th birthday Friday, Rochelle Tres Dias group TP’d the Prabhakars’ home and rang the doorbell and sang to him. The birthday celebration continued inside the home with prayer and refreshments.
"When you're 80, you want to give advice to everybody but nobody wants to listen," John said. "One of the things I've learned is, of all the qualities that you can have, being kind is most desirable. You don't have to be rich or famous, but you can be kind. I'm finding that out because people are very kind to us.”
