ROCHELLE — The public is invited to attend this Saturday’s Hub Athletic Booster Club chili, hot dog and pie Supper, while watching some exciting basketball and helping raise funds for the Rochelle Township High School athletic programs.
The booster club event, which is also being titled “ABC Day” for short, will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday and run through dinner time. Members of the Rochelle football program, including coaches and players, will be serving up chili, hot dogs and assorted pies.
Each of the three food items (chili, hot dogs and pie) are $2 each, but fans can purchase a combo meal of all three for just $5. Plus, any Hub supporters interested in becoming members of the Hub Athletic Booster Club will receive a free combo meal with their $10 pledge to the club.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the booster club, which helps fund new equipment, uniforms and other essentials for the RTHS athletic programs through money raised from concessions and events such as ABC Day. Each year the organization commits roughly $15,000 toward RTHS athletic program needs.
