ROCHELLE — All area residents are invited to a community open house being held on Thursday, April 19 by the Rochelle Area Community Foundation.
The event will be held at the Salt 251 restaurant on IL Route 251 South from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Attendees will be treated to refreshments and will not only learn where this year's grant money is going, but will also have a change to learn more about the important non-profit groups that provide valuable services to the region.
In addition, guests will have an opportunity to register for a chance to make an instant grant to their favorite qualifying local organization.
"We are excited about this event," said RACF director Kim Montgomery. "Not only will we be announcing this year's grant recipients and amounts, but it is a good chance for the general public to see what type of impact the foundation has on the local community with annual grants generated from endowment funds and donations."
