ROCHELLE — Ramona “Momo” Reineck, 79, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, Illinois.
Mona was born on Feb. 23, 1941 to Gilbert G. and Mary D. (Garcia) Jasso in El Campo, Texas. On Oct. 8, 1960, she married Larry Dean Reineck in New Milford. He preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 2015. She is also predeceased by her parents, and brothers, David and Cruz Jasso.
Mona loved shopping for great deals and going out to eat with family and friends. She would never turn down chocolate or a cookie. Everyone loved her cooking. Mona’s family was so dear to her and she loved spending time with them.
Mona is survived by her four daughters, Pam (Tim) Davis, Tina (Jeff) Davis, Lisa (Paul) Vargen and Mary (David) Helfrich, all of Rochelle; four brothers, Gilbert Jasso, Martin (Debbie) Jasso, Ernest Jasso and Johnny Jasso all of California; three sisters, Mary Jasso, Lydia Gonzalez and Florence Jasso all of California; nine grandchildren, Erica (Frank) Schermerhorn of DeKalb, Jake (Kirstin) Davis of Warrenville, Samantha (Jerry Becker) Davis of Wisconsin, Amanda Davis of Rochelle, Katie (Wade) Arthur of Hoffman Estates, Alex (Veronika Erickson) Bunger of Bloomington, Blake Vargen of Rochelle, Alyssa (Sam) Navejas of Ashton, and Cruz Hord of Rochelle; 15 great-grandchildren, Madi, Andre and Olivia Schermerhorn, Wyatt and Jack Davis, Sophia Davis, Easton and Elliana Bunger, Charlie Arthur, Sammy, Benji, Jeremiah and Christian Navejas, Xander Gaffino-Hord, Kyree Capes and baby Arthur on the way; and many nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 6 at First General Baptist Church with Pastor Angelo Bonacquisti officiating. The service will be live-streamed on the Unger-Horner Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will follow the service at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle.
A memorial is being established.
