ROCKFORD — Randy Wayne Wilder, 58, a lifelong resident of Illinois, died suddenly on Oct. 22, 2018 in Rockford.
He was born on Feb. 19, 1960 in Rose Hill, Va., to Robert James and Wilma (Catron) Wilder.
Randy attended college in Granite City. He was involved with the Boy Scouts organization and was happiest when he was camping, fishing, reading, listening to country music and spending time with family. He was also a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.
Randy was preceded in death by hsi father, Robert James Wilder.
He is survived by his son, Robert Wayne (Ashley) Wilder, of Evansville, Ind. and a granddaughter, Jailyn Wilder, of Evansville, Ind.; his mother, Wilma Wilder, of Rochelle; a brother, Terry Catron, of Rochelle; sisters, Nancy Lazenby, of Rochelle, Sandy (Estel) McMaster of Huntington Beach, Calif., Tammy (Chuck) Zoia, of Pleasant Prairie, Wis. and Kathy Rippee of Rochelle; and many nieces and nephews.
Randy enjoyed being with his family and was loved by many. He will be missed and we will forever carry him in our hearts.
A private memorial will be held by family at a later date. A memorial fund has been established in his name to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Evansville, Ind.
