RCH Auxiliary fundraisers support hospital needs

ROCHELLE — Every year, the management team at Rochelle Community Hospital furnishes a “wish list” to the RCH Auxiliary listing desired items that were unable to be funded otherwise. Through their annual fundraising efforts, the Auxiliary was able to meet several requests.
First of all, handrails will be purchased for the hallways in the hospital. Most recently handrails were installed for the hallway near Infusion and Convenient Care.  Also, an EasyOne Air spirometer with easy-to-use technology and large touch screen for patients at the On the Go Healthcare Clinic at the Petro Travel Plaza will be purchased. In addition, the On the Go Healthcare Clinic will be receiving a Philips Heartstart Defibrillator (AED) with ready pack, battery pack, adult and infant/child smart pads cartridges, HS1 Fast Response Kit, cabinet and wall sign.
Finally, to provide a welcoming, child-friendly atmosphere to the Convenient Care Clinic, the Auxiliary will be purchasing an interactive technology station. This durable, quad-tablet table will allow for four tablets to be installed and easily used by children. The table is designed to keep cords safely stowed, the tablets permanently housed, and children engaged until they can be seen by a healthcare professional.
The Auxiliary would like to thank the community for their support of events throughout the year. Mark your calendars for the RCH Auxiliary Holiday Bazaar on Thursday, Nov. 7 and Friday, Nov. 8 at the First Presbyterian Church at 1101 Calvin Road. Hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Items available for purchase include stocking stuffers, purses, scarves, jewelry, clothing, home décor, handmade items and more.
New this year is free gift wrapping for all purchases. All proceeds from the Holiday Bazaar will go towards healthcare scholarships and support of Rochelle Community Hospital.
