ROCHELLE —To make CT exams as fast, safe and accurate as possible for patients, Rochelle Community Hospital has upgraded to the Aquilion™ PRIME 80/160 CT system from Toshiba American Medical Systems, Inc. Aquilion PRIME provides faster exams at as low as reasonably achievable doses, while producing high-quality images required for accurate diagnoses.
“The speed of the Aquilion PRIME enables our physicians to obtain critical patient information for enhanced diagnoses faster than before,” explained Joy Miller, Radiology Manager at RCH. “The design of the Aquilion PRIME allows us to successfully image a range of patients, from pediatric to bariatric, to further improve patient safety and comfort in our community.”
While the CT scanner is a key piece of technology in the diagnosis and treatment of patients every day, it is essential in the images it provides in the diagnosis and treatment of Emergency Department patients. In a trauma situation, time is of the essence and this is where the Aquilion PRIME is invaluable. The Aquilion PRIME is capable of reconstructing 160 unique slices with every rotation of the gantry and incorporates a host of ergonomic and automated features to streamline productivity and deliver the highest quality images to the emergency physician in minutes.
