Rep. Kinzinger nominates students for U.S. Military Academies

Washington, D.C. – On Monday, Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) nominated nine students of the 16th Congressional District of Illinois to attend one of the United States Military Academies. At a reception held in the Ottawa district office, Congressman Kinzinger presented the students with certificates and celebrated their accomplishments with their families.


It is an honor and a privilege to nominate the best and brightest from #IL16 to attend one of the U.S. Military Academies. I’m impressed and proud of their willingness to serve our country. Congratulations to all of our 2016 nominees, and wishing them all the best of luck in earning their respective acceptances,” Rep. Adam Kinzinger said.


The IL-16 students nominated by Congressman Kinzinger this year are listed below:
Hunter Haggestad, Rochelle, Air Force, Rochelle Township High School; John Adee, Rockford, Navy, Boylan Catholic High School; Joel Bottarini, Ottawa, Army, Marmion Academy; Owen Mallery, Hennepin, Army, Putnam County High School; Jacob Martocci, Belvidere, Navy, Belvidere North High School; Robert Raleigh, Rockford, Navy, Keith Country Day School; Robert Shields, Wilmington, Navy, Wilmington High School; Kaylynne Terry, Streator, Navy, Streator Township High School; and Andrew Valentino, Lee County, Air Force, Sterling High School.
