DIXON — State Representative Tom Demmer (R-Dixon) was selected to attend The Council of State Governments’ Medicaid Leadership Academy Sept. 26-28 in Washington, D.C.
Federal government representatives and officials from health policy organizations and state Medicaid programs presented at the event, highlighting innovative programs in states that are improving health outcomes and reducing health care costs.
“Medicaid provides coverage for millions of Illinoisans and is one of the largest parts of the state budget. I have worked hard to improve health access for people across our state. This policy academy helps us find new ideas that are working well in other states and bring them back to Illinois,” said Rep. Demmer.
