ROCHELLE — Rochelle School District 231’s Board of Education approved a series of resolutions during its monthly meeting Tuesday evening at Rochelle Middle School.
Under the recommendation of Superintendent Todd Prusator, the board voted to approve a resolution authorizing and directing the permanent transfer of interest moneys from the district’s Working Cash Fund to its Education Fund. Prusator said about $5,000 will be transferred to the Education Fund, as revenues for the fund have been impacted by General State Aid and other factors, according to the meeting agenda.
The board also approved the designation of depositories for district funds. Each year the school board must file a certificate of designation of depositories, and the board policy states that investment of district funds shall be made in the local financial institutions, according to the meeting agenda.
Other resolutions approved by the board on Tuesday include an amended budget for the 2017 fiscal year due to two intra-fund loans during the past year to cover shortfalls in revenue, according to the meeting agenda, as well as contracts for both HUB Program Manager Jodie Craven and HUB Site Coordinator Tony Wyatt (which will expire on Dec. 31, 2017 if the district doesn’t receive the 21st Century Grant, according to the meeting agenda). The board wrapped up the June meeting by approving a bid for dairy products submitted by Muller Pinehurst and a salary increase for both administrators and non-certifies personnel during the 2017-18 school year.
All board approvals Tuesday were made under the recommendation of Prusator.
