LAND O LAKES, Florida — Richard Evans, 77, of Land O Lakes, Florida, formerly of Rochelle, passed away Jan. 28, 2020.
Richard was born Sept. 25, 1942 to Gomer and Mary Evans in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
He received his high school diploma and some college education before becoming a manufacturing plant manager for such companies as Pepsi, DelMonte and Silgan in Rochelle.
A man of Catholic faith, Richard enjoyed reading, bowling, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Karen P. (Zane) Evans of Land O Lakes, Florida; son, Rick A. Evans Jr. of Citrus Hills, Florida; a daughter, Robin Evans of Land O Lakes, Florida; five grandchildren, Devan Evans of Land O Lakes, Florida; Grant Evans of Rochelle, Delaney (Trenton) Leffel of Fort Collins, Colo., Savannah Evans of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Cameron Evans of Janesville, Wisconsin; one great-granddaughter, Mckynzie Evans; and a sister, Marilyn Lunger of Pennsylvania.
He is preceded by his parents, Gomer and Mary Evans; a brother, William Evans; his in-laws, Edward and Helen Zane; two brother-in-laws, Robert Zane and Gary Lunger; a nephew, Steve Lunger; and his son, Kevin E. Evans.
