MORENO VALLEY, California — Ricky Lee Landry, 68, passed away suddenly at his home in Moreno Valley, California, on Oct. 6, 2018.
Ric was born Jan. 24th, 1950 in Oregon to Gordon and Barbara (Kump) Landry.
During Ric’s childhood, the family resided in Illinois, Arizona and Louisiana. Being the oldest of eight children, he paved the way for the rest.
He had a brilliant mind and was usually found “improving” vehicles. He began his career as a welder/fabricator. He then traveled the United States as an instrument/control technician for many refineries and chemical plants. He loved the world of electronics and usually had most of the latest gadgets.
Ric was also known for telling a joke or two or three. His good nature will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Ric is survived by his wife, Ruby; son, Greg (Susan) Landry; stepsons, Darren, Glenn and Chris Schaal; grandsons, Mason and Cameron Landry; mother, Barbara of Rochelle; four brothers and two sisters, many nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents, father and a brother, Scott Landry.
A memorial service will be held at the Flagg Center Church of God on Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. Pastor Dan Landry will officiate. A luncheon will be served.
