ROCHELLE – The Illinois Department of Transportation announces today that weather permitting, construction work on IL 251 from Flagg Road, just north of the City of Rochelle, to the Winnebago County line will be starting on Aug. 13.
Rock Road Companies will be making improvements to the 14 mile section on IL 251. The $5.7 million project includes shoulder widening and resurfacing of the roadway.
There will be lane closures during working hours while the improvements are being completed. Drivers should be prepared to stop as flaggers direct traffic past construction operations.
