ROCHELLE — Chuck Roberts donated a copy of his latest book on World War II history entitled “U.S. Airborne Tanks 1939-1945” to the Flagg-Rochelle Public Library. The book discusses how airborne tanks were developed in World War II, the soldiers who crewed on them and their usage in World War II.
This is Roberts’s third book on World War II history, published by Pen and Sword Books, Ltd., South Yorkshire, England. There are two more books in the pipeline: “The History of the World War II 37-mm Cannon” and the “History of the Submarine Bluefish” (the boat that Jim Moorehead served on in World War II). Shown is Sara Flanagan, library director, accepting a copy of the book from Roberts on behalf of the library.
