ROCHELLE — The Rochelle chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, recently honored the 2017 DAR Good Citizen winners from local high schools.
Shown left to right are Taylor Lewin - Stillman Valley High School, Regent Lydia Roberts, Kylie Highbarger - Amboy High School, and Lexi Ann Meurer - Ashton/Franklin Center High School. Each high school selects one student who exemplifies the qualities emphasized by the NSDAR of Dependability, Service, Leadership and Patriotism. The selection process involves both faculty and fellow students and an optional essay.
The next meeting of the Rochelle chapter will be held on Friday, April 21 at the VIA Room at First National Bank and will feature Rob Glover from the Glidden Homestead in DeKalb.
