ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Area Community Foundation will accept applications for grant funding from nonprofit organizations during the month of February. Focus areas include, but are not limited to arts and culture, education, health & wellness, social services, community development and hunger relief.
“Contributions by members of our community through individual donations, payroll deduction, corporate and business support make this work possible,” said executive director Kim Montgomery. “Since the first grants were made in 2006, the Foundation has been able to return more than $500,000 to programs and projects of more than 78 nonprofit organizations. These include classrooms, schools, libraries, and a wide range of service providers in the community.”
The application and information concerning eligibility may be accessed through the Foundation’s website at www.rochellefoundation.org under the GRANTSEEKER tab beginning Feb. 1 and closing March 1.
The Rochelle Area Community Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve the community through charitable giving, encourage a spirit of philanthropy and enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve.
