Rochelle man arrested after rural car crash

On March 28 at 8:01 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a one vehicle crash at Brooklyn Rd. and Gurler Rd. After an investigation, it was determined Aaron K. Stultz, 41, of Rochelle, had swerved to miss a deer and went off the roadway into the ditch. Stultz was arrested for no valid driver’s license and leaving the scene of an accident. He remains at the Ogle County Jail where he will be held in lieu of bond.
On March 28, DeAndre Norfleet, 23, of Chicago, was arrested on a outstanding Ogle County warrant for driving while license suspended. Norfleet did not post the $3,000/10 percent bond and remains in the Ogle County Jail. Norfleet was scheduled to appear in court March 29.
On March 28 at 7:02 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies, along with Leaf River Fire/EMS responded to a one vehicle rollover crash in the 4300 block of W. Lightsville Rd. After an investigation, it was determined Russell Crull, 63, of Byron, had driven his Ford truck off the roadway into the south ditch. The vehicle turned over on its passenger side, and came to rest against a tree. Crull was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, and transported to the Ogle County Jail where he will be held in lieu of bond.
On March 28 at 5:47 p.m., following a traffic stop on I-88, Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Francisco P. Diego, 53, of West Liberty, Iowa, for driving without a valid driver’s license. Diego was transported to the Ogle County Jail and will appear in court at a later date.
On March 30 at 8:15 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle in the 500 block of N. Freeport Rd. for speeding. After a further investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Michael S. Snyder, 27, of Freeport, was arrested for speeding and driving while license suspended. Snyder was transported to the Ogle Country Jail where he posted bond and was given an April court date.
