ROCHELLE — A Rochelle man was arrested Monday for aggravated assault to a peace officer, an Illinois State Police press release said.
Roman S. Villalobos, 37, was taken into custody at his residence on an arrest warrant for the class 4 felony and also charged with assault (a class C misdemeanor) stemming from a May 30, 2021 disturbance in the area of Cherry Avenue and Lincoln Highway in Rochelle.
Villalobos was transported to the Rochelle Police Department where he was processed and released after posting 10 percent of a $3,000 bond.
The public is reminded that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
