ROCHELLE — Rochelle Police Department detectives are invetigating a shooting that left one person dead late Friday night.
According to Rochelle Deputy Chief Jeff Leininger, the shooting occurred in the 300 block of South Main Street around midnight Friday.
The Ogle County Coroner was called to the scene.
Illinois State Police and the Ogle County Sheriff’s office is assisting in the investigation.
As of press time Saturday morning, no arrest has been made and no further information was available.
