ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Rays turned in another strong performance Thursday evening, with Alison Ohlinger and Riley Wiegartz combining to set six individual records in the team’s victory over the Geneseo Gators at Spring Lake Pool.

Wiegartz broke the 13-14 boys 50-yard breaststroke record with a time of 35.09 seconds, smashing a mark previously set in 1997. The 14-year-old set three records at the 15-18 level, winning the 100-yard freestyle (56.51), the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.30) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:06.41).

Ohlinger snapped her own record in the 9-10 girls 50-yard backstroke with a time of 41.47, and she set a new record in the 9-10 girls 25-yard freestyle with a time of 15.53. Ohlinger teamed up with Kendyl Darby, Emma Kennay and Natalie Wagner to break the 200-yard freestyle relay record set in 2002 with a time of 2:49.50. Rochelle totaled 597 points on the evening, with Geneseo scoring 182.

“We have seen success from the entire team through the course of the swim season,” head coach Marianne Swanson said. “Many swimmers are very close to breaking record times. My hope is that the swimmers maintain their momentum, increase their motivation and drive, and most importantly make those vital adjustments to ensure we end the season feeling satisfied that our swimmers have done their very best.”

8 & Under Girls

Jillian Bruns, Mackayla Downing, Roxy Taft and Cambrey Rodeghero teamed up to win the 100-yard medley relay with a time of 2:07.68. Bruns, Taft and Rodeghero joined forces with Maggie Suneson to finish first in the 100-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:59.70.

Taft placed first in the 25-yard freestyle (19.55) while taking third in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 2:19.44. Bruns finished second in the 25-yard breaststroke (29.50), with Rodeghero placing third in the 25-yard breaststroke (31.65) and the 25-yard backstroke (33.30).

8 & Under Boys

John Chadwick, Owen Carmichael, Charlie Carmichael and Joah Horner combined to win the 100-yard medley relay with a time of 2:15.18, and the boys won the 100-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:49.13. Chadwick finished first in the 25-yard freestyle (20.35) and the 25-yard backstroke (28.16.

Charlie Carmichael was victorious in the 25-yard breaststroke with a time of 34.20, and Owen Carmichael achieved victory in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 2:42.00. Landon McCandless took third in the 25-yard backstroke with a time of 48.61.

9-10 Girls

Alison Ohlinger, Natalie Wagner, Emma Kennay and Kendyl Darby teamed up to win the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 3:05.82. Sydney Carmichael, Cassidy Vincent, Riley Doyle and Michelle McCandless took third with a time of 3:58.53.

Kennay finished first in the 25-yard breaststroke (27.80) and the 50-yard butterfly (46.78) while taking second in the 50-yard freestyle (39.34). Darby placed first in the 25-yard backstroke with a time of 26.39, with Ohlinger winning the 50-yard breaststroke (51.71) and the 100-yard individual medley (1:33.85).

Wagner placed second in both the 50-yard butterfly (50.99) and the 50-yard breaststroke (56.73), while Alexandria Groves finished second in the 25-yard breaststroke with a time of 35.10.

9-10 Boys

Liam Wise, Nolan Johnson, Henry Hildreth and Parker Slattengren combined to win the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 3:59.24, and the boys took first in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:41.52. Hildreth won the 50-yard freestyle (44.05) while taking first in the 50-yard breaststroke (1:00.03), the 50-yard backstroke (51.38) and the 50-yard butterfly (56.61).

Johnson finished first in the 25-yard breaststroke with a time of 28.53, and Johnson took second in the 50-yard freestyle (44.72), the 25-yard backstroke (30.21) and the 25-yard butterfly (26.70). Wise’s time of 32.44 in the 25-yard freestyle earned him second place.

11-12 Girls

Baylie Sutton, Kendyl Darby, Adeline Morrissette and Anna Harvey teamed up to win the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:51.94, and the girls took first in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:30.13. Morrissette placed first in the 50-yard breaststroke (45.06) while taking second in the 100-yard individual medley (1:45.68).

Harvey finished second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 32.76, with Sutton placing second in the 50-yard breaststroke (58.00) and the 50-yard butterfly (45.62).

11-12 Boys

Danny Challand, Trey Taft, Jack Lodico and Rylen Hildreth joined forces to win the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 3:15.80. Hildreth, Taft and Lodico grabbed Owen Haas to finish first as a group in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:24.72.

Taft placed first in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 45.84, and Lodico finished second in the 50-yard breaststroke (47.19), the 50-yard freestyle (34.32) and the 100-yard individual medley (1:42.74). Hildreth’s time of 47.48 in the 50-yard butterfly earned him second place.

13-14 Girls

Morgan Haas, Maddie Ohlinger, Sylvia Hasz and Faith Contreras combined to place first in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:50.33. Contreras, Haas and Hasz joined Zegan Paul to win the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:35.50.

Hasz finished first in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 43.23, and Hasz won the 100-yard individual medley (1:28.35) and the 50-yard butterfly (39.36) while placing second in the 50-yard freestyle (34.17). Ohlinger’s time of 43.50 in the 50-yard breaststroke earned her second place.

13-14 Boys

Alex Gilbert, Baxter Konstans, Riley Wiegartz and Elijah Hildreth teamed up to win the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:26.48, and the boys won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:10.60. Hildreth finished first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 31.13 while taking second in the 100-yard individual medley (1:24.18).

Konstans finished second in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 41.50, while Gilbert took second in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 48.24.

15-18 Girls

Abby Wagner finished first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:47.00, and Wagner teamed up with Adelyn Paul, Claudia Casey and Megan Schramm to win the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:55.30. The four girls placed first in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:30.53.

Paul took first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:21.76, while Wagner finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:25.47), the 200-yard individual medley (3:05.87) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:38.40). Casey placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:56.32.

15-18 Boys

David Peterson, Paul Davis, Riley Wiegartz and Josh Bunger teamed up to win the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:12.22. Peterson, Davis and Wiegartz joined Levi Johnson to win the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:52.90.

Davis took first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:17.47 while winning the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:43.00. Bunger finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:21.90) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:49.95
