The Rochelle Rays made history this past Thursday, beating the Huntley Stingrays for the first time by a combined score of 492-358. Rochelle’s boys edged Huntley by a score of 231-217 while the Rochelle girls outscored Huntley 261-141.

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Rays made history this past Thursday, beating the Huntley Stingrays for the first time by a combined score of 492-358. Rochelle’s boys edged Huntley by a score of 231-217 while the Rochelle girls outscored Huntley 261-141.

Many swimmers attained personal best times in this meet,” head coach Marianne Swanson said. “It’s great to have our kids swim against such competitive teams. It pushes each swimmer to swim harder and faster. I couldn’t be more pleased with our swimmers… I am so fortunate to have such a dedicated group of swimmers and supportive parents to work with.”

Riley Wiegartz broke another team record by setting a new time in the 15-18 Boys Division. Wiegartz won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:12.04 to surpass the previous record set by Scott Kasmar in 2001. Abby Wagner was 0.04 seconds away from breaking a new record in the 15-18 Girls Division, finishing the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:25.21.

8U Girls

Maggie Louis, Tess Kissack, Jillian Bruns and Gwen Hildreth won the 100-yard medley relay with a time of 1:59.91. Bruns finished first in the 25-yard freestyle with a time of 22.09 seconds, while Kissack placed second (23.63) and Hildreth took third (24.92). Bruns won the 25-yard breaststroke with a time of 30.37 and Kissack took third in 41.30.

Bruns won the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 2:23.13. Kissack placed second in the 25-yard backstroke with a time of 31.00 and Louis took third with a time of 33.70. Hildreth placed second in the 25-yard butterfly with a time of 46.02, while Magalene Good took third in 54.06. Kissack, Mary Craven, Louis and Bruns won the 100-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:56.29.

8U Boys

Landon Ege, Jace Spears, Bo Lundquist and Dayton Mellor won the 100-yard medley relay with a time of 2:07.78. Lundquist placed second in the 25-yard freestyle with a time of 21.05 while finishing first in the 25-yard breaststroke with a time of 29.07. Spears placed second in the 25-yard breaststroke with a time of 34.10.

Lundquist placed second in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 2:22.09, and Spears took third with a time of 3:05.90. Lundquist placed second in the 25-yard backstroke with a time of 30.60 while Mellor took third in 32.42. Jadon Exantus took third in the 25-yard butterfly with a time of 1:11.27. Spears, Mellor, Ege and Lundquist won the 100-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:56.67.

9-10 Girls

Mary Chadwick, Mackayla Downing, Roxy Taft and Grace Montes took third in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 3:48.81. Meredith Bruns took third in the 25-yard freestyle with a time of 18.03 and Reese Kissack won the 25-yard breaststroke with a time of 36.81 while Montes placed second in 40.96 and Emma Belmonte took third in 43.78.

Taft won the 25-yard backstroke with a time of 24.62 while Bruns took second in 25.53 and Belmonte placed third in 31.90. Taft took third in the 25-yard butterfly with a time of 23.32. Chadwick, Bruns, Belmonte and Addison Wiegartz took third in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:46.13.

9-10 Boys

Charlie Carmichael, Bryson Stewart, Owen Carmichael and Cooper Holmgren won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 4:50.17. Zachary Dreska placed second in the 25-yard freestyle with a time of 30.65 and Charlie won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 47.10 while Owen took third in 53.43.

Dreska placed second in the 25-yard breaststroke with a time of 44.46 and Charlie won the 50-yard breaststroke in 1:04.09 while Owen placed second in 1:07.05 and Stewart took third in 1:24.34. Charlie took third in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 2:16.83 and Stewart placed second in the 25-yard backstroke (34.54) while Holmgren took third (41.45).

Owen placed second in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 1:08.22. Charlie, Dreska, Stewart and Owen won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:25.77.

11-12 Girls

Alison Ohlinger, Sydney Carmichael, Emma Kennay and Kendyl Darby placed second in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:54.33. Ohlinger won the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 46.69 while taking third in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1:27.96. Darby placed second in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 48.01. Darby, Natalie Wagner, Kennay and Ohlinger took third in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:30.00.

11-12 Boys

Jordan Spears, Owen Haas, Jack Lodico and Henry Hildreth won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:50.50. Lodico finished first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 32.27 while Haas took second in 32.47 and Hildreth placed third in 35.78. Haas won the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 45.80 and Lodico placed second in 45.91.

Haas finished first in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1:27.76 and Lodico placed second in 1:27.92. Hildreth placed second in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 46.59, and Haas won the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 39.58 while Hildreth took third in 53.14. Haas, Spears, Hildreth and Lodico won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:29.25.

13-14 Girls

Sara Johnson, Adeline Morrissette, Olivia Sergeant and Regan Underwood placed second in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:37.85. Sergeant finished first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 33.10 while Johnson placed second in 33.86 and Underwood took third in 33.92. Johnson (43.97) and Morrissette (46.12) placed second and third in the 50-yard breaststroke.

Johnson placed second in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1:27.23 and Sergeant took third in 1:27.31. Alison Ohlinger placed second in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 38.31 and Baylie Sutton placed second in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 39.22. Underwood, Sergeant, Johnson and Anna Harvey won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:16.51.

13-14 Boys

Elijah Hildreth, Max Orlikowski, Luke Orlikowski and Rylen Hildreth placed second in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:47.83. Elijah won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 30.55 while Luke placed second in 32.63 and Max took third in 35.23. Elijah finished first in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 39.91 and Rylen took third in 52.03.

Elijah placed second in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1:22.60 and the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 43.12. Luke won the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 45.48 and Rylen placed second in 47.09. Rylen, Max, Luke and Elijah won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:11.30.

15-18 Girls

Cara Forsberg, Abby Wagner, Adelyn Paul and Claudia Casey won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:40.15. Wagner finished first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:12.69 and Paul took third in 1:21.88. Maggie Dall placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:38.53 and Casey took third in 2:04.33.

Wagner won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:21.98 and the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:35.65. Casey, Paul, Forsberg and Wagner finished first in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:22.29.

15-18 Boys

Tucker Louis, Baxter Konstans, Riley Wiegartz and David Peterson won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:12.33. Peterson placed second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:04.81 and Konstans placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:24.67 while Peterson took third in 1:28.51.

Wiegartz won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:02.40. Konstans, Louis, Peterson and Wiegartz finished first in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:54.84.
