CHICAGO — Dr. Timothy N. Koritz was re-elected to a second one-year term as chairman of the University of Illinois Board of Trustees during the board’s annual organizational meeting Thursday at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Koritz, of Rochelle, has served as a trustee since 2009 and is a staff anesthesiologist at OSF St. James Hospital in Pontiac. He was a staff anesthesiologist at Rockford Memorial Hospital from 1994 to 2017, and served as a clinical assistant professor at the U of I College of Medicine at Rockford from 1994 until his appointment to the board.
He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a medical degree from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. from University of Cambridge, England.
