Dear Editor,
I am voting for Mike Rock for Ogle County State’s Attorney in the upcoming Republican Primary Election. Mike Rock serviced our county as an assistant State’s Attorney and then he was enthusiastically appointed to be our State’s Attorney when a vacancy occurred.
Public service is a value that Mike Rock and I share. I served on the Oregon City Council and as Oregon mayor for over 20 years. I also served on the Ogle County Board for six years and as chairman for two years. Many times when I had a question or needed advice, I called on Mike Rock. My interactions with Mike were always positive, forthright and helpful. Mike Rock is a stand up guy and the type of person that we need in our State’s Attorney office now more than ever.
