Rochelle Township High School recently thanked its Key Club members who have sorted bottle caps. Over 3,500 pounds have been used to make benches all around the Rochelle community and surrounding communities. Kiwanis Golden K has partnered with Key Club to install: 11 six-foot benches, two eight-foot sport benches for Focus House and one six-foot picnic table for Creston School. More benches to come as there are 750 sorted pounds of bottle caps in storage and another 200 pounds left to sort. Dennis Swinton of Kiwanis Golden K said the bottle cap donation program will close for the winter from Dec. 1 to April 1.
