ROCHELLE — Select students from Nelson Baker’s human anatomy and physiology classes at Rochelle Township High School visited the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University recently.  

Baker said they were able to view, touch and even dissect human cadavers, and also had a Q&A session with medical students who came in on their Saturday off to show Hubs around. Baker offered a shout out to Karin Podolski who helped set the day up.

Students underwent an application process that included a statement of interest, an indication of their career goals and their academic history of science classes at RTHS! Participating were: Branden Brizuela, Lily Burriel, Marlen Hueramo, Hayden Inman, Ashley Knight, Josie Lundquist, Cinthia Pacheco, Stephanie Penaran, Schuyler Podolski, Leslie Rodriguez, Carly Summers, Chloe Treadway, Ayla Walker and MeLisa Young.
