Scouts, DAR place flags for Veterans Day

Girl Scout Troop #409, Cub Scouts Pack #553, scout parents and scout leaders assisted the Rochelle Daughters of the American Revolution place flags at all known veterans' graves at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery and Trinity Memory Gardens in preparation for Veterans' Day on Nov. 11.

ROCHELLE — Girl Scout Troop #409, Cub Scouts Pack #553, scout parents and scout leaders assisted the Rochelle Daughters of the American Revolution place flags at all known veterans' graves at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery and Trinity Memory Gardens  in preparation for Veterans' Day on Nov. 11. The flags will also be used to identify veterans' graves for Wreaths across America Day on Dec. 18. If you would like to sponsor a wreath for a specific veteran or even multiple veterans' wreaths, at St. Patrick's, Trinity, Lawnridge, Daysville (Oregon) or Woodlawn (Creston) cemeteries, order forms are available at the Rochelle VFW Post #3878, at St. Patrick's church office or online at https://wreathsacrossamerica.org/IL0136P. The deadline for your order to be received is Nov. 29.
