ROCHELLE — On Friday, Dec. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m., Connie Dougherty and her husband, Ken, will be hosting the annual Christmas Open House at the Hub City Senior Center.
They are serving a homemade chicken and biscuit dinner. There is no charge for senior citizens, but patrons still need to pick up a ticket ahead of time to provide an accurate dinner count.
Tickets for non-seniors are $5 each. Transportation will also be provided for patrons who call for a ride reservation.
“The atmosphere will be filled with Christmas joy we all celebrate the season together,” Dougherty said. “Also be sure to watch for our prom king Dub Lambert and queen Nancy Brown in the Lighted Christmas Parade starting at 5:30 that day.”
