Serenity Hospice and Home was recently presented with a generous donation of $12,500 by the SM&SF Club from Rockford. The money will be used to purchase Murphy beds for patient rooms at Serenity Home in Oregon. “The comfort of our families who visit their loved ones in Serenity Home is very important to us. Many of our family members are weary from being caregivers and a good night’s sleep can help them through this difficult time,” said Executive Director Lynn Knodle. “This very generous donation from the SM&SF Club has made it possible for us to purchase these beds which will bring physical comfort to families for years to come.” Pictured from left are Cyndy Lane, representing the SM&SF Club, presenting the check to Serenity nurses Maggie White and Janet Curry.
