Shirley Ann Bradshaw

LONGVIEW, Tex. — Shirley Ann Bradshaw, 87, passed away peacefully at her home in Longview, Texas, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
Shirley was born Sept. 25, 1936, in Masontown, Pennsylvania to Antoinette Stella (Malinsky) Shutsa and John Mitchell Shutsa. She met her husband, John “Jack” Alec Bradshaw in Cleveland, OH in 1955 and they married in 1957, raising six children.
Shirley found meaning in life by caring for her children, with faith and family always her foundation. As her children grew and moved away from home, she looked forward to the holidays with large gatherings around the kitchen table that included great food, boisterous storytelling, board games (especially Boggle) and charades.
After raising her children, she took great satisfaction in working for many years as the tax assessor for the City of Rochelle. She was a wonderful woman of faith who loved teaching Sunday school in her retirement, praying with the church women’s group and volunteering for local ministries like nursing homes and Meals on Wheels.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jack in 2014. She is survived by her six children – Theresa Ann and her husband Chuck and their five grown children; John “Jack” Gerard and his wife Janet and their three grown children; Elizabeth Marie and her husband Bo and their four grown children; Arthur Kenneth and his wife Tracy and their three grown children; William Eric and his wife Ann and their five grown children; and the youngest Jeffrey Thomas and his wife Jill and their three grown children. She is also survived by her sister Marie and brother John. She had 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, all of whom affectionately called her Grammy.
