ROCHELLE — Aiming to build off victories over Mendota and DeKalb, the Lady Hubs sophomore softball team took its home field against the Sterling Golden Warriors on Thursday and the Yorkville Lady Foxes on Friday in Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference action.
Rochelle scored twice in the game against the Golden Warriors, but the Sterling bats proved too tough to calm in a 12-2 loss. Yorkville shut down the RTHS offense entirely, winning by a score of 17-0.
The Lady Hubs move to 2-12 on the season, and the girls will pick up softball action again on Tuesday against the Kaneland Knights.
