Dave Tess, Russ Crull and Eric Arnquist of Tess, Crull & Arnquist made a surprise visit to the Rochelle Food Pantry on Tuesday, Nov. 24. After Tess thanked the more than 15 volunteers for their hard work and compassion in rain and snow, Arnquist and Crull gave each volunteer a From the Heart Calendar. “We wanted to thank those volunteers working behind the scenes organizing, packing boxes, and carrying them to the cars in the rain and at the same time help Rotary after the From the Heart dinner had to be cancelled,” Crull said. Dave Eckhardt, chairman of the From the Heart fundraiser, said that a lot of business people and groups have stepped up the sales effort of the calendars to donate them to other volunteers and essential workers in the community. Calendars are still available through Rochelle Rotary Club members, at First State Bank in Rochelle, Hope Chest in Rochelle, Merlins in Oregon, Shining Star in Dixon or online at fromtheheartrochelle.org.
