Posted

On Feb. 18 at 6:43 p.m., the Lynn-Scott-Rock Fire Department was dispatched for a semi truck versus state police car accident at mile marker 108 on I-39.  The state police vehicle and another vehicle were parked on the shoulder of I-39 when the state police car was hit by a semi truck.  The state police trooper was transported to Rochelle Community Hospital with non life threatening injuries.  The trooper has since been released. No other injuries were reported. The driver of the truck tractor semi-trailer, Adam Toure, 58, of Chicago, was issued citations for violation of Scott’s Law and improper lane usage. The two people in the other vehicle were treated and released at the scene.
