WATERMAN — Stella L. Skinner, 75, of Waterman, formerly of Taylorville and Rochelle, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at her home in Waterman.
She was born on April 29, 1942 in Ricks Township in Christian County, the daughter of Cleo and Rachel (Parish) Simmons.
Stella was united in marriage in 1966 to Mr. Jack Lee Skinner and they spent the next 43 happy years until his passing on Aug. 21, 2009. Mrs. Skinner was a loving wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Skinner is survived by her children, Jack Lee (Karen) Skinner Jr. of Waverly, and Samantha (William) Pasetti of Waterman; her step-daughter, Brenda (Donnie) Mercer of Malone, Fla.; her son-in-law, Michael McClanahon of Oregon; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Cathy (John) Graham of Rochelle; also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Rachel Simmons; her husband, Jack Skinner; her daughter, Anna McClanahon; one grandson; also one brother and one sister.
Funeral Services will be private.
