STEWARD —On Saturday, July 23, the Steward Celebration Garden committee celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the celebration garden at the historic village hall in Steward with an open house and an old-fashioned sing along by Pauline Barnes Cultra.
The celebration garden was started in 2012 in a vacant lot next to the village hall to honor and celebrate loved ones connected to the Village of Steward. In the past 10 years, many engraved bricks honoring loved ones have been added to the brick pathway along with personalized park benches, and the flowers have grown. It’s a place for residents and visitors to sit and relax and think about their loved ones and precious memories of Steward.
“We were pretty excited to celebrate the 10-year anniversary with committee members, donors, supporters and residents of the village joining in,” the committee said in a press release. “Thanks to the volunteers, donors, supporters and residents of Steward.”
