ROCHELLE — A few Rochelle Middle School eighth grade students are on a mission to help fight hunger.
The trio, consisting of Tyler, Noelle, and Griffin are conducting a food drive from now until May 30 to benefit the Rochelle Christian Food Pantry. Boxes are conveniently set up in Sullivans Foods and Dollar General, both located in Rochelle.

Anyone interested in donating canned goods can do so at either location. Something as simple as grabbing an extra canned good with your purchase can make a difference.
The group was inspired by the recent collaboration of students and community members that helped assemble a 3D prosthetic arm for a Kings area farmer.
“We wanted to find a way to give back to Rochelle,” Tyler said. “Anyone can bring in a can or if they are shopping, pick up an extra and put it in the box.”
The group plans to drop off the donations on Friday, June 2 at the food pantry.
