ROCHELLE — After many years doing business in Rochelle, the Sullivan family has announced plans to close its Rochelle grocery store within the next month.
Sullivan’s Foods employees were informed of the decision on Friday and a notice to customers is posted inside and on the front window of the Rochelle store at the Caron Ridge Shopping Center location at the corner of IL Route 38 and Caron Road.
According to the notice, the daily store hours have been reduced and will now be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., effective immediately, while a liquidation sale is set to start this Wednesday, March 7.
The posted statement from the Sullivan family thanks Rochelle area customers for their patronage, and also reads they regretfully expect to close the store in approximately 30 days and will no longer accept charge orders from charge account patrons at the Rochelle location.
