ROCHELLE — Susan Kay Tilton, 61, of Rochelle, lost her battle to lung cancer at her home peacefully on Jan. 12, 2020. She was born June 21, 1958 in Rochelle, to the late Duane and Gussie (Starnes) Tilton.
Susan enjoyed her time in the garden doing yard work, cooking and especially baking.
She is survived by her sisters, Diana L. Acres of Rochelle, Lori G. (Jon) Davis of Mt. Morris; and brother, Barry Tilton of Rochelle; her two nephews, Corey and Donnie Acres; and two nieces, Misty Korf and Heather Tilton. She was a great aunt to seven nieces and nephews. Susan is also survived by her extended family, John and Renee Hubert of Rochelle and their five children Ashlee, Jay, Nicole, Jacob, and Johnny; as well as her four extended grandbabies, Ayvah, Sophia, Olivia and Gracelynn.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Duane and Gussie (Starnes) Tilton and her nephew, Michael Tilton.
