OREGON — The Ogle County 4-H Shooting Sports program registration is open for archery, air rifle, and our outdoor adventure club that includes Hunting and Wildlife information. Registration will be taken first come, first service, and is due to the Ogle County Extension Office by Aug. 1.
Each discipline provides a supportive, adult-supervised environment in which youth, ages 8 to 18 years old, by Sept. 1, can learn. Youth will also learn about wildlife management and conservation ethics.
The 4-H Shooting Sports program maintains a strong relationship with the existing natural resources, safety, and outdoor recreation 4-H programs. The materials and training programs emphasize young people and their life skills as the product of the program while using tested techniques and positive reinforcement. This approach allows 4-H to increase awareness of natural resources and conservations (knowledge), to develop competency in safe shooting sports practices (skills), and to provide youth with positive workforce attitudes (behaviors).

Some opportunities may be available for competitive shooting events, at the regional, state, and national level. The focus of all 4-H programs is the development of youth as individuals and as responsible and productive citizens.
You can register by calling the Ogle County Extension office at 815-732-2191 or download an application from our website at http://web.extension.illinois.edu/bdo/.
More information, including dates, cost, and location, can also be found on our website. Limited spots are available. Registration will be taken first come, first service, and is due to the Ogle County Extension Office by Aug. 1.
