ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Township High School board has approved a new four-year contract with the Rochelle Township High School Education Association union.
The contract is a four-year contract with base pay increasing 0.75 percent each year. The base salary in the first year of the contract is at $37,943.
“A lot of credit for this new contract goes to the teachers association for being proactive and collaborative throughout the process,” superintendent Jason Harper said.

The RTHS board approved the contract Monday night after the RTHSEA ratified the collective bargaining agreement on June 13.
The current three-year deal comes to an end on June 30.
