ROCHELLE — Thomas John Davis, 70, of Rochelle, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at his home in Rochelle. He was born on March 4, 1948 in Aurora, the son of Thomas Davis Jr. and Theresa Marie (Poss) Davis.
Tom is survived by three sisters, Kathy Newcomb of Elgin, Laurel Davis of Oak Brook, and Barbara (Leo) Ahasic of Aurora. He is also survived by two brothers, Barry (Gwen) Davis of Aurora, and William Davis of Aurora, as well as 10 nieces and nephews and five grand-nieces and nephews.
Tom was predeceased by his parents; three brothers (Jeffrey, Randall and Alan); and a niece, Julie Newcomb.
Tom started working for Aurora Beverage Distributors, Inc. when he was in high school and continued working there until December 2010. His roles included driver, salesperson and office manager. Tom was also a U.S. Army veteran. He was an avid bowler and a fan of Nascar racing and the Chicago White Sox.
A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 11 at Unger-Horner Funeral Home at 400 N. Sixth St. in Rochelle. A memorial service will follow immediately after the visitation at 11 a.m. A luncheon will occur at noon at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge at 311 N. Main Street in Rochelle.
The family has requested that no flowers be sent to the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Association for Individual Development, 309 New Indian Trail Court, Aurora, IL 60506.
