ROCHELLE — It was a fun Friday afternoon for Tilton School students as they enjoyed some end of the school year activities. A group of fourth and fifth graders enjoyed the outside while watching their homemade rockets being launched by reading teacher Karen McMahon. The students started their creations on Monday and worked throughout the week with the launching Friday afternoon.
This week’s activities are part of a tradition held for many years at the school. The students get to choose a fun mini-session to participate in, such as a sports game, baking class, photography, origami, and tie-dye creations.
The yearly event is funded by the PTO, and is done with the help of teachers, aides, and parent volunteers.
